How to reach us

If you tell us what time you plan to arrive, we'll be happy to meet you at the closest ferry stop!

By car
From the highways, after the toll, continue on the expressway following the signs for Venice until you reach Piazzale Roma, the bus and car terminal. Park your car in one of the garages and take ferry nr. 42 or 52.
Alternatively, park at Tronchetto, the island at the end of the Libertà bridge, turning right before you reach Piazzale Roma. To reach Piazzale Roma, take bus nr. 6/. To get to the Locanda Acquavita, take ferry nr. 2 (or N, at night), and change to line 52 or 42 and get off at the Fondamenta Nove stop.

By plane
From the Tessera Marco Polo airport, take the public Alilaguna line ferry (blue line, Fondamente Nove stop).

By train
Exit the station and take ferry 42 or 52 to the Fondamente Nove stop (estimate trip time: about 20 minutes).

When you land at the Marco Polo airport, thanks to the Alilaguna dockat Cannaregio, in Fondamente Nove, you are just a half an hour away from the Locanda Acquavita by boat. In addition to being wonderfully romantic and charming, it's truly convenient.

It's only 5 minutes between the peaceful tranquility in Calle Venier to the seething crowds at the market and on the Rialto bridge, hopping across the  calli, campielli and sòtoporteghi (the typical Venetian passageways). But it could take longer because...losing yourself in Venice is always fun!

When you're headed to a once in a lifetime event in nearby St. Mark's Square, to shop in the Missoni or Armani fashion boutiques or visit the Correr museum, don't forget to stop by the Bacino Orseolo. In addition to be a wonderful show of lights and reflections, the singing gondoliers who “serenade” you as you float around Venice leave from this dock in the heart of the city.

The Santi Apostoli church
There are more than 200 churches in Venice, practically one on every corner. In campo SS. Apostoli, in Cannaregio, you'll find a church of the same name. Dating back to the ninth century, with valuable frescoes by Tiepolo,
on the altar, it is cloaked in a legend. In a mystic rapture, the bishop is said to have seen the 12 Apostles who ordered him to build a church in a place where he met a group of 12 cranes, the site were the first inhabitants of the Venetian islands settled.
